About Us
The Dixie Lou Story
Joelle and Savannah are more than just a dynamic mother-daughter team; they’re proud natives of Tucson, deeply rooted in their community. Dixie Lou, their mobile bartending service was born not only out of ambition but also from a heart full of love and a knack for creating unique, unforgettable moments.
The Dixie Lou dream began with a 1962 Arrow trailer named Dixie. Their vision was to transform an old Arrow trailer into a mobile bartending service that would bring life to any event, giving each celebration a touch of Tucson charm and unique flair.
As with many great ideas, the name Dixie evolved. When Joelle’s beloved grandmother (and Savannah’s great-grandmother), Mary Lou, passed away, they wanted to honor her memory in a meaningful way. A woman with a deep love for her family, Mary Lou played a significant role in Joelle and Savannah’s lives. To commemorate her spirit and her immense impact on their lives, the duo decided to rename ‘Dixie to Dixie Lou as a loving way to include her in all the fun.
Joelle has a successful career as a full-time realtor and an extensive background in bartending. Her years of experience behind the bar have equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the hospitality industry, customer service, and, of course, the art of mixology. This combination of skills makes her the heart of Dixie Lou’s operations.
Savannah, on the other hand, brings her own unique flair to Dixie Lou. As a skilled aesthetician, she not only understands beauty but is also well-versed in the nuances of wedding and party planning. Her experience allows her to curate an aesthetic that aligns with clients’ visions for their events, making every gathering they cater truly personalized.
Together, Joelle and Savannah form the perfect team to bring Dixie Lou to life. Each Dixie Lou event speaks volumes of their shared vision: not just to serve drinks, but to provide special memories. For them, Dixie Lou is more than just a service—it’s a celebration of their family, their love for their community, and their ability to create an enjoyable setting to bring people together.
